  • Find sessions on your LAN, or connect by IP address.

Overview

LANCast shares a screen with named viewers on the same private LAN, which suits classrooms and small rooms. Hosts open a lobby, approve who joins and choose when to start broadcasting. There is no internet account, remote input, microphone, camera, recording, file transfer or telemetry.

Features

  • Stays on your LAN

You pick a physical private network adapter, and sessions use only that network.

  • Hosts stay in control

Viewers ask to join and wait for approval. You preview the source first, then start, pause, stop or end the broadcast yourself.

  • View-only for viewers

Viewers cannot reach the host’s keyboard, mouse, clipboard or files.

  • Check who you connect to

Viewers compare the host’s full fingerprint over a separate channel before approving it.

  • Attendance records

Session history stays on the host computer and can be exported as a CSV file.

  • Host or viewer installs

Install both roles together, or a viewer-only edition that cannot host.

Requirements and installation

System requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
